Need help about Windows defender/MSE

Hi,

I need a solution to below matter:-
There is some internet connectivity limitation at our office, like Google, news sites etc are allowed, you cannot browse other sites. Recently in every PC Microsoft Security Essential is newly installed as only Antivirus program, but problem is I can't find the link by which automatic update can be performed so that I can allow the link/domain from server. Please note that we use windows 7 in office.

Please help me.

You can find Windows update by going into the Control Panel>Large Icons>Windows update is usually near the bottom of the screen to the left.

The browser problem sounds like it may be related to DNS but access may be controlled by the Admin of this Domain.

I wanted to know how can I find out the IP/domain of MSE update link.

Is there anybody else to help me? please

I guess that's it. Nobody helped me

There is no way to get there without going through Windows. Can't find out the URL or the Domain because it's hidden these days. Suggest you find a policy in Group Policy that allows you to go there.
