I have an external drive connected to a computer (running Windows 8) that's shared on a home network, accessible by 3 other machines (these machines run Windows 7). The permission is set up such that all other 3 machines can access and read files from the external drive, and they have no problem doing so. Within that external drive, I have a folder with permission set for Everyone and full control, because I want to allow other 3 machines to edit files in or copy files into that particular subfolder. Despite that, other 3 machines cannot edit files in that folder, nor able to copy files into that folder. I checked permission tab of that folder from a network machine, and it does display Everyone with full control. Any suggestion? Thanks.
