Streaming keeps disconnecting

Hi all hope someone can help, every time I stream media to my tv or ps3 from my pc the file plays for a while upto 30min then the device says its been disconnected, I check the pc and the wifi adapter has stopped working, and pc is not connected to anything, I have to unplug the adapter to make it work again, I have looked online and have made sure that wifi isn't set to sleep, I have brought a new wifi adapter as I read that this could be on its way out but still have the same problem, I am really confused what to try next, if I leave my pc on and not streaming the wifi stays connected no problem, and it has full bars on signal strength, thanks in advance for any help

You might want to try adjusting the airplane mode button.
