Remote sound windows 8

Hi my pc is a windows 8 and is connected to my 1000 watt surround sound system and all is working great, however when im in the garden and a song i dont like comes on i was hoping i can use the Remote Desktop feature i have on my phone or my other windows 8 laptop to change the track, however when i do remote desktop it the sound from the pc cuts off and it says remote audio.

How can i connect to my pc without the remote audio thing coming on?

What remote access app are you using? What phone are you using? UltraVNC might be a good choice.
