are you sure it's not one of your device ? Windows may show a wrong type of device or the wrong name, you must have a cell phone ? What say the router himself if you log on it ?

Well I did a search for m0xx and came up with Samsung GT-I9300 which is the Samsung GALAXY S III. Anyone in your household have that?

Apparently it's a Samsung GT9300. We don't have one of them.
I can't log in to the router as it's always playing up. Virgin router...

I don't know what to say , I live in the wood, if someone was connected on my router my 2 German Shepherd will find him for sure.

Go in the router and lower the signal strength if you can

You probably already know this, but you can usually also set the router to block certain mac addresses or only allow certain mac addresses to connect to it. So someone would need to spoof an approved mac to connect.

I actually think it might be a mate who sneakily connected to my router...
Blocked him anyway...

I have the exact same thing: -

3Cb3n.jpg

I do have a Samsung Galaxy S3, but "m0xx" showed up when I first installed Windows 8 and my phone wasn't even turned on. I also have a Virgin Media router (SuperHub). My network is using WPA2 and nobody would ever guess my password or hack it with a dictionary attack.

I posted about it on NeoGAF and someone just replied to say he has it too and he also doesn't have a Samsung phone.

This string is in Android 4.1.1 firmware builds for the S3 though: -

I think it maybe the Virgin Router updater! It's continuously going off and on and changing page on UI.

I dunno man. It seems a bit of a coincidence that "m0xx" is listed in the Android 4.1.1 firmware for the S3. Do you have an Android phone at all?

EDIT - I've just checked the MAC address of my S3. It matches with the MAC address shown for "m0xx" so I guess I must have been mistaken about my phone being turned off when I installed Windows 8, so in my case that's the mystery solved.
