I had a wireless home set up before my upgrade to Windows 8 now is gone and can not set up again. Also is there any way of connecting my PS3 to the network?

Welcome to the forum Richard, do you have a router? If yes, you can connect your PS3. Go into your ipv4 settings for your adapter and add the router address (default gateway) in the advanced button. You should be able to connect.

OK DMHolt57 I have a TL-WR1043WD, Widows 8 compatible router, Windows 8 cannot find it when I try to set up the network. I have the latest firmware for it installed.

Do initial setup of router using an Ethernet cable...
