    homegroup

I joined my homegroup that was created on my 7 machine. My problem is that sometimes it connects and others it wont. Is there some thing I'm missing. My 8 machine can see every one that is on the network I just can't access the shared files/folders on the 7 machines. Although the 7 machine can see and access the 8 machine just fine.

Update...well after checking it out...it seems to be a timed response issue. If it let it wait for a few minutes I can access the shared files/folders...odd. So I'm wondering if it's a glitch with my beta version. Does anybody else have this problem with shared files/folders with the RTM version?

I've seen these types of problems but mostly it's when the machine that created the Homegroup leaves the Homegroup then rejoins with a new Op system like Windows 8.

In these cases I've found that it's best to leave the Homegroup from all Homegroup machines then create a new one from scratch and rejoin from all machines. This flushes the Homegroup credential cache.

Doing this always seems to fix file access or machines not showing up type of problems.
