So it seems it was the memory. Ran memtest and it started detecting errors immediately. Removed the memory stick that generated them, and now everything seems to be back to normal. Thanks again!

Thanks a lot for the quick reply... "Problem device: GT-I8262" - this is weird, that's my phone, which I charge from the usb port. But again, I've been doing that for a long time... I'll get on with doing the tests, and post the results as soon as I have them. And yes, I am a translator. :)...
