@topgun, I had disabled KIS while updating, but couldn't change anything with MS Office - SFC scan still errors out. Should I try uninstalling it and then try installing KB3022345? This would take me to carry out :(

I've MS Office 2013, KIS installed. It's really weird that hotfix released by MS later on, still didn't resolve the issue.

That's okay. Was curious about it, as few from this forum, hit by this bug, were waiting for a fix other than uninstalling.

Other than uninstalling the particular KB, I couldn't get any other fix to solve the "false positive" file system corruption issue. Did the later MS hotfix for the particular KB clear it up for you?

That is great to hear :) In that case, Microsoft must have rectified the problem causing KB3022345. I hid it earlier, now I can't see it in hidden or pending ones.

Not to worry at all, At least now I know that Reset Base command really works ;) Because of valuable suggestions from this Forum, I do my full backup every month or so. And now I could test out whether backed up images really work & it does :)

Thank you, I'm going to do it. It has caused whole lot of problem for me for this month :( MS says it actually do not corrupt the system files, but SFC scan detects it incorrectly.
