    Issue Resolved Shortly after returning to my desktop, an automatic upgrade to Windows 8.1 was shown. The 8.1 upgrade went smoothly . I presume that an offer to upgrade 8.1 to Windows 10 will be given, but I guess I will not hurry into that. Thanks. VinceB.

    when I returned to the desktop, I was prompted to allow a Restart and an update to Windows 8.1. It is now in that process.

    Thanks for your info, KYHI. I will take a look when I get back in front of the desktop PC. I will want to learn the difference "upgrade" vs. " clean install" before I continue.

    Can I Upgrade Win 8.0 to 8.1, or Must be Win10? On Monday of this week, I was forced to revert back to Win 8.0 DELL OEM settings from a recent upgrade to Windows 10 (early August). I don't really want Win10; I do not intend to use new browser, I do not need voice recognition (no built-in mic)...
