The toggle for this should be in the taskbar properties. Right click on the taskbar and go to properties. There should be a tab for jumplists and a checkbox for recent items. Didn't realize it, but there is also a full tutorial on eightforums here...

Make sure in the "Change advanced power settings" that sleep is also either turned off or to a higher number of minutes. I think sleep and hibernate and all those will turn off the screen as well. I am not sure about hard disk options, but that might also turn off the screen when the hard disk...

If all those settings are fine then I would look at the newest events in the event log. Maybe it can tell you if anything is going on. Maybe something is generating a lot of events...

Got the Dev64 build, but couldnt run it in Virtual Box due to 64x processor not found. So I think that is in the BIOS I started downloading the 32xBuild as well, and went to eat and came back and it had paused, so I still have to wait another hour till download completes.... And I cant restart...
