As a PC Gamer. Windows 8 is good. It runs games fine, like Windows 7 does.
The only thing I don't like is Metro. It just doesn't feel Desktop friendly. I won't use it ever. Kind of don't like that I can't disable it. :/
Other than that. Windows 8 is good. As to if you should upgrade? I don't...
In the games app, it advertises games that are in the Store. So it's not install. Just advertised. Silly, indeed.
Edit: Looks like the Games tile is an app. Didn't know that. Thought it was a place where my games were.
Gadgets are better than live tiles though. No one on a desktop will be on the start page just to look at the live tiles. It works on a phone because you just get your phone out of your pocket and check quickly and put your phone back down.
Guess it's just me. I kinda got bored of Aero. I liked that this theme is new, so I guess that's why I like it. The thing about Windows is that the themes on the internet are ugly so I kept the original one and guess I got bored of it.
It's not ready for desktops yet. I just feel like Microsoft rushed it and just put a tablet friendly UI over the desktop and made everyone boot to it.
Sure, you can use a mouse and keyboard. But you can use a mouse and keyboard on any tablet UI. Doesn't mean it's better than a real desktop UI...
No. I used them, but just to try them, Will never use them again. With probably the only exception of the Music app. I love it snapped, but I wish I could search for artists when it's snapped. So, I probably won't use it anymore.
I don't like running apps in full screen. Only thing I run in...
