It is like running CCleaner, they just reset/clean stuff, fix some problems.
I use WiseCare Free, among registry, it also clean junk files, which might fix some problems as well.
You could also try to run this, in this order:
fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\
fsutil usn deletejournal /d /n c:
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
I was thinking, that you could unregister opening URL links (HTML ext), that would give you an error, but it would not open any links, not even ones you would probably like to, so it might be a little inconvenient.
Actually, it has already happened. I have bought IPv6 router long time ago, but since my ISP does not support it, I can only dream about it, not that I am looking forward using it, since it eliminates privacy.
