Yeah Goldy, found out how to disable firewall on router/modem but was strongly advised not do it. The good news is since I updated to windows 8.1 I have yet to have a dropout but I'm not holding my breath. Keep you posted!;)

Yep, airplane mode is off, Ive run the troubleshooter, nothing coming up there. I installed windows 8.1 last night and so far so good:thumb:. If this doesn't work I'll try the turning off the firewall in windows defender. I've got a modem/router. Umm how do turn off firewall in that? I didn't...

Yes just found out what flush dns is and did what you said. I did not have to put in my username and password in which is good. I'm waiting now to see what happens. I'll let you know..Thanks Goldy!
