Well it was working flawlessly for about a week or two and now it started acting up again. I booted it up and noticed that the trackpad icon was not in the notification area, then it appeared, but it still acted odd. I'm going to keep an eye on event viewer.
I've been doing that but being in a college lecture hall with no place to put the mouse makes it extremely frustrating. Besides the fact I shouldn't have to do that anyway if this thing was designed right in the first place.
I'll try making recovery media but I'm worried the problems will be carried over.

Here's my device manager. It is showing two unknown devices and a touch screen and my touchpad. Currently the touchpad is working, the touch screen is not working. Could they be interfering with each other? I may pull the bottom off and check all the connections but if device manager notices...
Okay I may have come across something. It stopped working again and I found this in event viewer. It says a multitouch device reported inconsistent contact information.
Something that is interesting is that this happens at the same time as an event that says "Touch Hardware Quality Assurance...
And now it is working like normal. It only works like normal every now and again. Would Event Viewer show me anything useful, like the driver crashing or something?
