Still, no news from any side... I guess that's better than bad news, but at this point I think the only thing left is to send it to the tech support, since I suspect a hardware problem.

Small update: I'm now 99% sure it's a video card/drivers problem, since I disabled the video card from the Device Manager and the problem doesn't appear anymore. One more thought: should I perhaps post this issue in the Apple forums?
