SFC SCANNOW and DISM RESTOREHEALTH - Repair Corrupt Files

I have used "Image Health" to solve all my DISM/SFC SCANNOW errors on the rare occasions they cropped up over the last few months. I cannot rate this simple tool high enough. It never fails and I would be lost without it, magnificent stuff Kyhi :)

Continues Errors at startup "Metadata staging failed"

Yeah Windows always installs the MEI drivers for me even though I have an alternative one from the manufacturers website. The one Windows installs seems okay though and I have not had any issues. I normally have to install my own MEI drivers darn quick before windows does. I install my Razer...

Continues Errors at startup "Metadata staging failed"

Just to add to the thread. After formatting W8.1 I am also receiving errors 131, 200, 201, 202. I rid myself of the 131 error by using the temp url in regedit suggested earlier in the thread (until Microsoft find a fix). For the 200, 201 and 202 errors, I removed them by going into Services and...

Solved Recent frustrations going from Windows 8 to 8.1

Mission accomplished. I now have W8.1 installed flawlessly with all drivers. The drivers were the latest and for W8/8.1, they were direct from the Asus website specifically for my motherboard. It just proved that the upgrade to W8.1 was messing with my system. I never used to have problems...

Solved Recent frustrations going from Windows 8 to 8.1

Thanks you soooooo much KYHI. I have been through months of heartache having to format twice just to have W8.1 I remember trying to burn an official W8.1 iso months ago but it wouldn't accept my W8 key (I never knew why because W8 allows you a free upgrade to W8.1) so I have been doing it the...

Yeah I had a quick Google search also and found other people with same issue, I was worried my format had gone wrong. I have just deleted my windows update history so I don't have to see that ugly repeated install. Hope they fix it soon. How did they miss this in testing??

Solved Numerous event id 10016 errors win 8 pro 64 bit

Search for it via the start menu (I use start8 with my Windows 8.1) or go into control panel (view by small icons) and click Administrative Tools then click Component Services - My Computer - DCOM Config then scroll down the bottom of the list to find WPN Srumon.

why does it show I have upgrade logs files?

I am quite familiar with upgrading from Windows 8 to 8.1 but strangely this time, even though everything has been deleted, I still get "windows upgrade log files" showing in Disk cleanup occasionally after rebooting. It clears easily enough then comes back. It is only a few MB in size but why...

Hi borgus. Follow these instructions to the letter and your problem will be 100% resolved :) 1. Open Regedit. 2. Go to HKEY_Classes_Root\CLSID\*CLSID*. Note: *CLSID* stand for the ID that appears in your event viewer error. In your case, it's {C2F03A33-21F5-47FA-B4BB-156362A2F239}. 3. Right...
