i have tried turning off anti virus, does not help.
If i get a chance to use another network i'll try it but no guarantees.

I'm still trying to get the dism command working, but in the mean time i have gotten 3 more bsod. I don't know if there's any point in looking at them but i'll post them anyway.
I don't seem to understand this image stuff and i feel like i'm missing something important here. If it helps i'll post the dism log.

I changed the dism download source to windows update using gpedit and still get this error saying "the source files could not be downloaded. Use the "source" option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore the feature."
Do you think this could the main cause of my problem? It seems i need to get windows 8 pro to use group policy editor in order to get /restorehealth working right. Is it worth the try or should i try something else first?
Before i downloaded the group policy installer, if I type gpedit.msc in run, it just tells me there was no file to be found.
apparently its only for windows 8 pro

I ran into one of your post yesterday trying to figure out this problem but when i searched for gpedit.msc, nothing could be found. So now i had to download a group policy editor installer. Got it up and working but i don't see that setting under system.
