Hi Brink thanks, They were not items from my desktop. Their were a couple pictures, some document files and some 3d printer project related files. All of which were in a folder in my documents folder.

Windows 8.1, daily driver. Just got home from work and noticed that their were several files....14 to be exact....that I did not delete. When I right click and check the properties on them, it says they were deleted four hours ago....while I was still at work??? None of them are junk files...

Thanks, I will take a look at that. I'm not too worried about messing things up. I've been tweaking/adjusting for many years :) The surprising thing for me with this is that this is my daily driver for a few years now, and other than the occasional annoyance, it actually still runs quite nice...
