Yes I have 3 other options. Insert right or left and replace desktop. Anything bigger than about 2/3 of the screen size I get the app splash screen than back to desktop.

Possible work around I too was having the store app crashes. Did all the troubleshooting other than a clean install. I was finally able to get the apps to work. 1.Open app(will crash but be visible in left side tool bar) 2. Right click app icon and select insert left. 3.Resize to no more...
