Since I am travelling I want to re enable startup (when booting to windows) password login. I already have password required when wake up but when booting my laptop does not require a password. Any ideas?

WOW! Thank so much. It used to take up to 70 seconds for right click to work and now it is instantaneous! The one I disabled was TODO. Do you know what on earth it is? I hope the problem does not return. :thumb::thumb:

I use wild cards and it does not find files I know are there. For example when I use *.avi it does not return a search for all my avi files. Somehow Win 7 and Win 8 don't like people not using generic folders to save their files. My win 8.1.1 is far from the OS I expected. After the win 7 let...

I am having great difficulty searching within Windows Explorer. The windows explorer search is basically useless as it almost never finds the files I am looking for and will not accept wild card! Also I do not like the search charm as it just shows the files without the details like folder...

I tried to find 8.1 iso but it is nowhere to be found. Seriously now; what are we the ones who bought our laptops with preinstalled windows to do? If we ever need to reinstall we are F@#$D! Anyone know where I can find a link to download the 8.1 iso?

Thanks for the reply. My problem is that here in Tanzania my internet speed rarely exceeds 56Kbps so downloading an 8.1 image iso is out of the question. I will try to ask a frien in Switzerland to find me a link and ask my son in Greece to download it for me and send it by courier.

Thank you all for your feedback. I have tried everything bar the last solution because my laptop came with preinstalled windows 8. I did make an emergency disk. Will this do?

I have this problem since windows 8 (I now have 8.1). Whenever I right click on anything; it takes about half a minute to bring up the menu. This is frustrating to say the least. Anyone experiencing the same problem?
