No idea what could possibly be causing this, but Windows 8 CP freezes everything but the mouse unless I have task manager open. It doesn't make any sense to me either... If I close it, W8 freezes before the window closing animation even completes, and then to unfreeze it I have to either C+A+D...

Didn't know where to put this exactly... feel free to move it. Anyone else have this? Every few minutes when my computer is idle, a blank tab opens on the taskbar with either the windows explorer file/folder icon, or the blank application icon where it looks like a business card or something...

I uncheck them but it doesn't do anything, then when I restart it resets everything to default.

Uh how do I use the cab file? I try to update it by going to the device manager and clicking update driver, but it says that it's up to date already. I really don't see a point in having a driver installer in windows if it's allowed to block the install based on what it knows about drivers.
