I may go back to Windows 8 in about a year, if they've fixed the multiple bugs in it by then. But for now, and the foreseeable future I'll be sticking with the tried & true Windows 7.

StartIsBack actually uses the official Start Menu code, etc. that was left in Win8 by Microsoft. You could've easily answered your own questions if you went to the SiB site: StartIsBack - real start menu in Windows 8 (Features) StartIsBack - real start menu in Windows 8 (FAQ)

They changed the trial? It was 30 days! --------------------------------------------------------- You may want to try StartIsBack, it has a 30 day trial, unless the developer changed it.

I didn't included Ex7forW8 because it was deprecated by the developer, StartIsBack used to be Ex7forW8.

Nope, it's the same one I use on 7, because there are no SoundMAX drivers for the card I have for Win8 -- because ASUS, etc. do not make any updates for this card anymore -- so I installed the Win7 driver. Anyways, I am having a tonne of issues that started yesterday -- may have started before...

I've noticed the sound is a lot louder & clearer on my computer running Windows 8 -- using the Windows 7 SoundMAX driver -- than it is on Windows 7, anyone have any idea why that may be..?!
