So I know it's old news but while perusing the filesystem on my 8.1 tablet, I noticed again the slidetoshutdown.exe. My question is if anybody knows how to implement this in a useful way such as replacing the Shutdown command in the power menu or invoking if from a long press on the hardware...
Sorry it's been a while. I found that it was because I had installed the Developer Preview of 8.1 on my phone. Once Microsoft got all that smoothed over, the licenses started syncing again.
It looks like I'm missing the last one. But I can't find a download for it anywhere.
EDIT: I just looked at my computers that have the button and they are missing it too.
