Brammyfan. I tried what you suggested but at no avail. It did not brink the CD drive back. I also enabled it at BIOS set up (it was disabed) but that did not work either. Other idea? What if I decide to go back to Vista since I have the system recovery discs? I don't have the drivers disc though.
No aiko. The problem is that I don't have W8 in discs as I bought it on line. What I am considering right now is of going back to Vista with the only problem. Will I be able to get back all and the PC the way it was before insalation of W8? I did a very big mistake of not reding reviews. Please...
Thanks brummyfan. Do you think it will work? Besides I am afraid as I am not sure Windows will be able to find and install the driver. Will it be safe and go ahead and uninstall it?
Yesterday upgraded to W8 Pro. Messed up everything. Sony/Vaio/VGN-FW140E. CD-DVD did NOT show up and when I update driver software (device manager) it says: The best driver software is being installed in your device. It is an Optiarc DVD RW AD 7560 USB device. Any idea how can I get this fixed?
