So there's no way to make clean windows 8.1 install with my upgrade key, like i did with windows 8. I had windows 7, but i didn't upgrade to 8, instead i made a clean install thanks to some tutorial on this forum.

How can i install this? I have windows 8 pro x64 and i downloaded the 8.1 rtm iso, but when i try to install, it asks me for my key, but my key doesn't work, probably cause it's an upgrade key. So, is there a way to install this or should i wait till it's available in windows update?

I also hate the metro crap, but it doesn't bother me at all. I don't even use it. There are plenty of shortcuts to access anything that is on the metro crap. It's faster and you don't need to see the metro interface. I've customized it to bypass the metro on boot and even if i couldn't, it...

So basically the reset does a clean install on the partition where Windows 8 is installed. And since it asks you for a cd key, how is the reset different from just booting from the usb drive and do a clean install?
