Highly likely. And if you have an ssd why no page file?? Its half the speed advantage. Well each to there own. I would say turn page file back on and see how you go.

If windows bsod's before the page file has been opened it can't dump, or if the page file is corrupt it can't read the dump on next boot. As stated above always a way around :)

You would need to fix your mbr after windows 8 and new drive install.

storport.sys seems to be the problem, but i get the feeling debug is telling fibs. you could try creating a restore point then making a recovery disk. then enable verifer.exe on your ssd drivers.

i just checked permissions on the windows dir on my machine. some new stuff in there....and not much of it has write permissions. i would say start there. as to witch one to change i can't tell you. maybe some one els will know a little more about the new stuff aka all application packages.
