Firstly, thanks for all the tutorials - made life relatively straightforward.
Starting point - Windows Vista 32 bit PC and Windows 7 64 bit PC.
Bought an upgrade and downloaded Windows 8 Pro on the 64 bit machine.
Saved the install media to a .iso
Burned a DVD.
Now over to the 32 bit Vista...
Just to touch again on the thorny subject of a clean install of an upgrade copy.
I am preparing to upgrade from Vista 32 bit to Win 8 64 bit.
The way I would like to do it is with a clean install - well I can't upgrade the 32 bit Vista to 64 bit Win 8 in situ :)

Having finally started down the route of buying the upgrades, every site so far ends up running the Upgrade Assistant.
So I assume that I run upgrade assistant on the 32 bit systems, burn some bandwith downloading an unwanted 32 bit ISO, then use the product key with the 64 bit ISO from my 64...
