I use a standard capacitive stylus on my Venue 8 Pro... I may not have the special features, but I can do anything I can do with my finger, only more accurately.

Basically opening any port gives an attacker another port to try to exploit, so it is a personal decision whether the benefit outweighs the minimal risk for an uncommon port... But, remember, a refrigerator was hacked and used to send spam recently, so keep all of your devices patched. :)

Thanks for the help so far, but it is getting stranger and stranger... I downloaded Revo Uninstaller, and it didn't even list office. So, I used the standard uninstall process and removed Office. I then used Revo to uninstall a few other apps that I don't need, just in case there was an issue...

Thanks again... I have quit using my stylus while typing, and that seemed to fix me up. I do find the stylus useful on the desktop, but the typing keys are large enough to be usable with my fingers. I have run into a few different issues with IE on the Venue Pro, and also on my desktop system...

It just occurred to me that there are many of us that work on one platform on our desktop, but different on our phones or tablets. Does anyone know of any source for lists of applications that can utilize the same data on each environment? I am thinking that a good cross reference would be good...

Thanks for the info. I just downloaded and installed last night. It doesn't seem to have made my keyboard perfect, but it is much better. I have a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse for when I am doing a lot of input, but it is nice to not have to backspace as much when using the touch keyboard. :)
