Also, it's the D: drive not the C drive is there anything else that can skip disk checking, and yes it sometimes gives an option to skip disk checking but it's only a one second time gap. And by the time you see it had already started the check disk.

But the thing is, I don't have windows 8 as a disc or digital copy, it came installed on the computer. And I didn't buy it, it was a gift.
