Fast Boot enabled on UEFI blocks access to Windows

No, that's not the point at all, all the opposite. If I reset UEFI to default values, I can't enter Windows. I restart and go to UEFI again, always UEFI. No Windows.

Fast Boot enabled on UEFI blocks access to Windows

I bring this up again because I am having the same problem. I can't set UEFI to default parameters after changing things for installing a clean Windows 10 from USB. Anyone knows?

Solved Can't boot, can't reinstall, can't repair (locked drive)

I love the screen, it's really good, beautiful colors. I compared many before buying it, that's why I know it's really good. It was cheap, sure, and not in sale anymore here, but I loved it and that's why I fought so much to keep it. Like an affordable ultrabook wannabe but enough powerful for...

Solved Can't boot, can't reinstall, can't repair (locked drive)

400€ (euros) is 420$ (US dollars) as of today's exchange rate. It's almost 1 to 1 exchange now a days.

Solved Can't boot, can't reinstall, can't repair (locked drive)

Really? How? I have a wonderful appreciation for Amazon, but it's unfair if I have to keep this laptop and pay for the repair. It's been a nightmare from the beginning. I had to return it 3 times and the 4th that I kept is this crap, constantly failing and two times sent to repair already. The...

Solved Can't boot, can't reinstall, can't repair (locked drive)

I guess so. I have had it for 21 months, so I still have 3 months warranty, but ASUS says it's my fault because I caused it by installing Windows 10, and I just hanged up the phone in fury and anger with Amazon because she said it is my fault too if the ASUS guy says so. So I had a terrible...

Solved Can't boot, can't reinstall, can't repair (locked drive)

Thanks a lot. The first suggestion gave me an error. The second worked and I now can install Windows. However, at around 75% installation, it stops and the laptop switches off and when on it won't continue the installation. Something is very badly damaged. It still feels hot but not so hot as...

Solved Can't boot, can't reinstall, can't repair (locked drive)

Depends. Sometimes it does and many people share the same problem. I've sen it a few times since I got that terrible laptop which seems to have very incompatible hardware with drivers.

Solved Can't boot, can't reinstall, can't repair (locked drive)

I guess so, but the fact of getting hot right after the updates is suspicious. Isn't it? Many thanks.

Solved Can't boot, can't reinstall, can't repair (locked drive)

I had W10 in another partition, it updated and my laptop got on fire at very high temperature. I went to W8.1 and it also updated and also started to overheat. I removed all updates installations and still was very hot. So I decided to format W10 and with EasyBCD to fix the boot, but it...

Someone accessed my Gmail from my own IP. What to do?

Indeed. Plus we better get used to Chinese, Russian or Indian stuff because they go up very fast and we go down at the same speed. America is still the boss, but Europe is decadent in every possible way. Concerning software, computers, the internet, electronics, etc, Europe just doesn't even...

Someone accessed my Gmail from my own IP. What to do?

I'll give it another try, but I tend to get on my nerves with so many passwords everywhere and all these many devices and programs and technostress. The owner of this chinese browser is chinese. I have been communicating with him in the browser forums and also by email. Indeed it sounds weird...

Someone accessed my Gmail from my own IP. What to do?

I use WPA2- AES. The 2 steps thing I tried it long ago when Google first introduced and quit it soon. It's really annoying to do that all the time. To me, at least. Many thanks.

Someone accessed my Gmail from my own IP. What to do?

It's the US government monitoring all of us, and that is not even speculation, that's confirmed by Microsoft, Google, Apple, etc. The Chinese browser is Chromium with extra handy features, that's why I used it. It is actually much better than chrome. Now, my hard disk made a brutal noise...
