I know I said I figured it out, but I actually hadn't! I just thought I'd post this for future reference. The real culprit was Logitech's Setpoint software. It seems that, with the USB Charging on, Setpoint wouldn't let the computer go to sleep. Uninstalling Setpoint stopped all BSOD's, even...
A final update: I left the Battery Life Extender on and another BSOD occurred. Turned both the USB Charger and the Extender off, and everything seems to be fine now. It seems like your hunch was right.
Thank you for all your help!
EDIT: Unplugging my keyboard/mouse USB receiver from its USB...
It may not have been the best idea, but I backed up my files and re-installed Windows. SABI.sys and SGdrv64.sys are no longer on the system. SABI.sys seems to have been related to the Samsung Easy Display Software, which I did not have on my computer, and the origins of SGdrv64.sys remain a...
Thank you for replying. I uninstalled daemon-tools and sptd.sys (using the uninstaller on the DuplexSecure website) a day or two ago. As for Alcohol % software, I attempted to install a trial version of Alcohol 120% a month or two ago; I let it install, but upon rebooting my computer as per the...
Hello,
I have recently been experiencing problems with my laptop. When I close the laptop lid to send it to sleep, the fan will whir loudly after a few minutes, before the computer shuts down completely. When I turn the computer on again, an error message pops up informing me that the computer...
Actually, before you sent that post, I had decided to reset the power options. I remembered that I had changed them a few days ago because I felt that my computer was going to sleep too quickly. If I remember properly, it was after I did that that the BSOD(s) started happening.
I didn't do it...
Going to sleep in safe mode seemed to be fine. While the computer wouldn't actually go to sleep by itself (the screen would go dark, but the laptop would stay on), there was no problem sending it to sleep manually then resuming Windows. I guess that would mean that this is probably a software...
I believe it's at 90W, though I am not quite sure. Also, I ran the scanner you suggested several times; it picked up a few malicious items, which it then cleaned. However, it hasn't stopped the BSOD from occurring.
Hello,
I am new to this forum, and I was hoping to ask for some assistance. Lately, my laptop has been experiencing BSOD when entering sleep mode, and I am stumped as to why it is happening. Day-to-day usage is unhindered, but as soon as the computer goes to sleep on its own, it shuts down and...
