Well actually the change was most probably made by the IT guy of my institution when he connected my pc to the institution's domain. I did pointed out this issue to him as soon as I got my device back but he shook me off excusing that he is too busy and the error is not interfering to network...
Well thank you everyone but I figured the problem myself and I will not require any more suggestions. You can see my solution in my reply above this post.
Just found out the solution from a YouTube video after a week of searching. The solution is simple.
Open Start. Type 'msconfig' and hit enter. Select 'Normal Startup' as the startup selection option and restart the PC.
