After updating to windows 8.1 I noticed that the pin icon is missing. Could someone please post (if there is) another way to pin a web site to the metro screen other than using that Icon

I was able to activate the windows 8 repair function in another profile and install the windows 8.1 from the windows store after the repairs were completed.

I already have a windows 8 pro dvd. Which when I boot from the dvd I an
given a repair option that will allow me keep my desktop apps however when it chose
it I am told that I must rebot and restart the installation.

No because then I will have to reinstall most of my apps. There must be a better solution out there we just have to find it.
One possible solution might be if we could download a copy of the just windows 8.1 upgrade software burn it to a dvd and use that to upgrade.
