thx for the reply. ok so i deleted the D drive and it became a unallocated space. There was no option for me to extend the volume on the windows 8 drive. I tried making a new volume out of the unallocated space but there was still no option to extend the volume. How do i fix this/

I have a windows 8 partition and vista partition. I want to uninstall VISTA, how do I do this? Do I set windows 8 as my active partition and just delete VISTA partition under disk management?

Windows 8.1 Chromes black bars ever since i switch to windows 8.1, I ususally get random black bars in chrome when i switch to other apps. The black bars goes away when i move my mouse over it. This doesn't happen on windows 8 or windows 7. I have HD 6970 gpu and the latest video card driver...

for windows defender, the only thing close to what u just said is turning off/on real-time protection. Turing UAC all the way down didn't work, it resetted back to yes. what do i look for inside group policy editor? For now, i'm going to try using a local user instead.
