Thank you. I have McAffe which you would think would sort the problem out. At least I am not the only one out there having this problem. I just wish that someone would close down these 'rogue' websites.
After getting repeated Consumer Survey Group pop-ups, I managed to locate something called Yontoo tucked away in currently loaded add-ons.
I have disable Yontoo and hey presto, no more pop-ups.
But how do I actually delete it from 'manage-add ons'
Thank you
Greg
Okay thank you. I might try Shark but you never know, Microsoft might actually sort out the issues with WMP 12 so that people don't want to downgrade to a better version. On the other-hand, pigs might fly!
Thank you again
Yes indeedy. I've recently acquired a lovely new Acer laptop and despite having player around with VLC, MPC and a host of others, none seem to work quite as well as WMP 12.
So, why not stick with it? Basically, I would like to add subtitles to my movies (srt files) but whilst they work in WMP...
It does work. I was able to get it to play mkv files in WMP 12.
My problem is that I really do want to stick with WMP 12 but I can't work out a way to shows srt files for my subs.
Any ideas? I understand that you can do it with WMP 11 but that doesn't appear to work on Windows 8. I removed...
