How did you install because I tried upgrading and I keep getting a white screen of death after it finishes installing and preparing.

I don't want to clean install. I want to upgrade. I don't understand why this is doing this. The install process finishes, then it prepares all my files and settings and then bam it prepares to boot and I get a white screen with the cursor.

I tried everything. Still gave me a white screen at the end of the install. And I don't have the slightest clue how to update bios so od rather not risk it. Could it be that im using dual monitors? No oe else have this problem?

Upgrade from w7

I installed 64bit consumer preview and then when it was preparing, I got a blank white screen with a cursor. I have to restart my computer and restore back to w7. Anyone else get this problem? Or did I just not wait long enough

Will it be available at midnight or do we really have to wait until they officially announce it at that conference?

The thing about clean installs is that you waste another 5-6 hours reconfiguring all your files and re-downloading all the crap that it won't let you transfer. Upgrading is always what I've preferred.

I have two 500GB HDD's so I don't think dual booting will be an issue.

Will the consumer preview offer an upgrade option from Windows 7 or is it still just clean install only?

That feature is actually only available through tablet devices.

That green is kinda of iffy. Is there a way to change its color.

There really does need to be an actually UI element to close out the apps. That will defiantly get annoying.
