Solved Under "Play Devices" - Blu ray player appears & disappears

Well, I did call Sony. I've had lots worse tech support experience. They did send me some "solutions" though none were really the solution. As I was on hold, waiting for the tech rep to research, I went under the DLNA area but instead of videos, I chose pictures. Low and behold, the DLNA...

Solved Under "Play Devices" - Blu ray player appears & disappears

Interesting suggestions. I'd prefer not to add anything more to my laptop.......just want to figure out what the issue is and repair. Oh BTW, I've already turned off the firewall as a test, didn't change anything. Maybe I need to call Sony tech support. Thx

Solved Under "Play Devices" - Blu ray player appears & disappears

Thanks Broe23, Yes....network settings are okay, sort of. How do I put this? TV shows the server available and then doesn't and then does and then doesn't.......etc. The same as the Computer. With my old Windows 8.1 computer (this is a new laptop) the DVD had no problems at all. It's weird!!

Solved Login password - not locked out but it's lurking

Thx. I wondered about that....thing is when I go into the netplwiz, at the bottom of the box where it says "password for *****.yahoo.com" To change your password, go to PC settings and select users - the Reset Password button is greyed out. Make any sense!

Solved Login password - not locked out but it's lurking

If I try to change the password to "blank", I'm asked for an existing password. Hopefully that makes sense. I find the whole Windows/Microsoft password system quite confusing. So to, I believe answer your question, No....this is solely a password. NO email address.

It's at the windows login screen so I would say local.

Solved Login password - not locked out but it's lurking

I have W8.1 and have the login password turned off but I know there's a login password lurking on the system because I set it and don't have it written down. Is there a way to "uncover" what the password is? Again, I'm NOT locked out ..... I just don't want that password to stay unknown. Thx
