Actually, what I did is to install while still in Windows 7. I figured that if I installed over it, everything should go smoothly. Do you think I should have wiped W7 prior to installing W8?

Well... I did what you suggested and it didn't fix my problem yet. Do you think that a service is turned off or something like that??

That would be a DVD. The only way that it will boot up is with CMS Boot. I'm actually right here. Did I jump the gun?:huh:

You're very kind Brink! When you say that it would be converted, does that mean that I don't need to set the boot mode, in BIOS to UEFI. Currently it is in CSM.

Can anyone please tell me if I need to convert my partition to GPT prior to installing Windows 8?
