Eventually I got into refresh options by doing the escape at boot then f11 while trying to figure out the blinking issue. Got it back up and running.

Already done that. Drive read fine, was able to pull off personal files that were needed.

Nothing to recover. Took me back to couldn't auth screen again. Jelly bean didn't find a key when i had it hooked up to my PC. Only found the key for my win 7.

Not bootable device. Please restart system. Is there anyway to find out the windows key for this through the file system ( as in hooking it up to my machine as an external drive and browsing through the files/folders )

I am really at a loss for words. Diag test finished. Mem & Hard drive passed. Going to disable secure boot in the bios and see if that helps.

Nothing fried looking/smelling. Made a win 8 disc itself instead of USB and was able to get into recovery so far. Doing a chkdsk on the system now. Should take a while ( 3 hrs left ) Will update
