    Sorry about the late reply. I tried it, but it says "A problem occurred while creating the recovery drive." I'm probably just going to factory reset it at this point, I give up. Do you know if there's a way to protect the other drives? Say, reformatting them with Linux so Windows doesn't touch...

    Thanks. I just ran scf /scannow again, and I got Should I just do the restore? Is there anyway to do a refresh (without affecting my files) via command prompt or control panel, since the Metro Change PC Settings doesn't work?
