I managed to get this working, *but* I'm not entirely sure how. I installed the Windows Live Sign In Assistant and got an update for GFWL via Windows Update ( it didn't show the first 4 times I checked, so fifth time lucky! ;) ). Now all my GFWL titles work again.

I had no problems under Consumer Preview, but I can't get any of my GFWL titles to load at all with Release Preview! Latest version is installed (Apr '12) and Dirt 3, SSIV AE 2012, Bulletstorm all refuse to load. Dirt 3 and Bulletstorm start loading then give up. SSIV AE 2012 gives an error...

Yep! Doing the above moved things along, until I got an error about administrator privilages in "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\Replicate\Security" at which point I used "take ownership", pressed retry, and it's completed. Thanks! :D Jonathan

Not entirely sure; it just seems that a bunch of metro apps are looking for location and I'm wondering whether that's determined by some Windows 8 setting I'm overlooking *or* whether it's going to use my ISP location.

How do I set location in a way that metro apps will understand, using my desktop PC? For example; dictionary.com Cheers CDJay

It won't let me edit the existing store shortcut, and duplicating it / amending isn't working. Still, I don't *need* the store atm ;) CDJay

I found the location, I'll keep trying to amend the lnk and get it to show up in metro. %windir%\WinStore\WinStoreUI.dll for those interested. :) CDJay

Much appreciated guys, the desktop icon is now how it was and the "More PC Settings" works as before. Still can't get the store to work though; I can find a shortcut but it's in the windows folder and has "notused" as a Target in %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH% It looks like I managed to do the same...

OK, even more concerningly, the "Store" metro tile is gone too. Nowhere to be found in apps, or when searching. Help! CDJay
