thanks! i'll keep that in mind brummyfan. :) now back to my problem with the touchpad. how can I lock it out so I don't have to deal with it again. seriously, i am a writer and i do not want this awful distraction and time waster of constantly retyping .... typing all this is horrible...

this is a view showing hidden devices ... why are all these others still in here? I uninstall and they lurk in the system. you can see the touchpad is not showing here, however the program remains on the system despite attempts to delete it... when i open Mouse i can clearly see the touchpad...

I had tried these before and I tried it again ... it still does the same thing brummyfan. It is a nightmare! I cannot adjust the sensitivity down enough. I want to remove all mice except my MS Sculpt if that is possible.
