Well its working. On my laptops etc. Its also working on my desktop. I have just tried uninstalling the NIC in device manager and restarted my PC and reinstalled the driver. This was one of the first things I tried but for some reason it didn't work back then... Thanks for your help anyway.

Oh Z is the letter I'm assigning the network drive to be on my Desktop.

I have a C: and a D: in my Homeserver. The C: is only used for the Operating system. The D: is the storage drive that I'm trying to share with my desktop. The D: is NTFS formatted and I do have the option to click on properties Security/Sharing etc.

This is the storage drive that I'm trying to share. I have only added everyone to this to try and get this working.

Ah i understand and i tried applying the setting to the C:/Users folder but i get an access denied message.

Sorry you have lost me. I have set the security properties on the drive and on the folder.

That is also set.

So I have just noticed that even though the settings are there it is not applying. But how have both my laptops let me connect to the drive if its saying its not shared. WTF!!!! And I had already gone through that page to.

Rebooted PC, Server and router. Still no luck :/

Just tried reconnecting SATA and power cable. And still no luck :/

Just tried to access it through network and sharing center and I'm getting this error: It still seems they are having trouble seeing each other. I will try and reconnect it now.

I have just uninstalled norton with their uninstaller. I still can't connect to the drive...

Yea i will uninstall it and give it a try.

Would you say to contact their support then? I do have norton installed on my other 2 laptops and they can access it perfectly. Cheers Bradley
