No, I definitely downloaded it directly from the store (not the iso file). The only changes I made to the software were from a tutorial on getting rid of the watermark that comes with 8.1. It was from here: How to Remove Windows 8.1 Preview Watermark | MyTechBlog Maybe that caused it? :confused:

Hello! I've got a question about windows 8.1, so I thought I would post it here. Yesterday I realized that my computer doesn't seem to know which edition of Windows its using. It's activated and seems to be working fine otherwise. Is this normal? :confused:

I think I'm going to try a system refresh, but I don't know if it's even possible for 8.1.

I tried and it doesn't work. It rolls through, but at the end gives me an error saying it can't access a file.

I couldn't get it to restore after that, so I just deleted it. I actually ended up using Revo to force it, its installer had become corrupt.
