    anyone else having problems with facebook calling on win8.1 RTM? sometimes i get " The software that powers video calling is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." other times i get " It looks like a program on your computer may have blocked your video calling software" reinstalled...

    so far no BSOD. i'm gonna reinstall the latest version of virtualbox to see if it was something. if i remember , the BSODs started after i updated virtualbox few weeks ago.maybe a clean install will work.

    ok...i unninstalled avast. wasn't aware that windows defender has turned into a full-antivirus solution in windows 8. will give it few days to see how it plays :). thanks alot

    thanks for your support richc46. i was thinking about the antivirus as the main problem. i have updated my realtek LAN drivers few days ago, but as you can see i had a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION today. is windows defender a fulltime antivirus in windows 8 or should i start looking for an avast...

    Installed windows 8 pro x64 few weeks ago and i start getting various BSOD while surfing the web (waterfox browser), but i'm not sure to say that is the cause. most of them have DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. hope somebody can help,thanks in advance
