That's what I reverted to, although it still had the microphone volume issue. I guess I'll settle for the issue rather than updating the BIOS. Although it would be nice to find out why the installers just stop working on launch.

Probably not, was going to be the next step. I did manage to get the drivers to update via device manager, but it resulted in my microphone barely working or having a weird voice changer effect.

Has the same issue, Setup.exe stopped working.

Custom build, seems like this has only been an issue since I updated to Winodws 8.1.
