Pressing windows C - regardless of which monitor has the focus the same one (the one on the right) opens the charm bar. Somehow my daughter manages to switch the charm bar from appearing on the right to the left one - however, whichever one it is, I only ever seem to be open it on one monitor...

I did mate, but it doesn't seem to work for me - the charm bar opens on the same monitor regardless of which one has the focus.

She also managed to mark this thread as solved, which in my view it isn't! Back to unsolved for now......

I don't know how she manages it, but each time my 3yr old plays on my dual monitor PC, she manages to move the charms bar so that it appears on the right side of the left monitor, instead of the right side of the right monitor! Any ideas on how she is doing that? I find I have to restart...

Hello, I've noticed that in Windows explorer the hard drive icons don't always look the same. e.g. my C: drive has a windows symbol on it, presumably because that is the one which has windows on it. A drive which is shared has an image of a hand on it. etc. etc. Is there a list somewhere which...

I found this: Why is my C: drive on Disk1 and E: on Disk0 and is that bad? So, not sure that swapping the SATA cables will do anything.

I'll try as you suggest, however the backup process has worked in the past with my PC in the same configuration it is now - i.e. SATA cables in the same drives and mobo sockets as they are now.

Not sure that is true, in the past it has always given a warning to say that previous backups will be deleted - there was no need to delete it (or rename it) manually.

Just to clarify, the harddrive option is there but no drives are listed and so it defaults to the back up to DVD option. If I refresh the list of harddrives, the list remains empty and it reselects the DVD option.
