Resizing partition for Win 8 stuck at pre-BIOS

I tried installing Win 8 and I needed to re-size a C: partition so I used MiniTool Partition Wizard to re-size it. It said it needed to reboot and then it re-sized the partition. But after trying to boot into Windows again I'm stuck at the pre-BIOS screen and I cant enter BIOS or do anything. Any help would be great because I really need it. Thanks.

And here's the screen sorry for the bad quality. I didn't know which section to post this in so I did it here sorry about that.

    Welcome to the forum, Nunchez.

Obviously you're dual booting. You may have damaged the volume boot record. I don't mean to add insult to injury, for I know you may be frustrated, but using 3rd party programs for any OS tweeking or disk management is most often destructive. I know there are some good programs out there and use a few myself, but one must be careful with these.

What is the last part of the 1st line?

Do you have a system disk or mirror for 7?

The last part of the first line is "Version UPSD arc 04-20-2007".

No. Thank you! Don't need to apologies. That's cool. I thought maybe you two were literally friends at each other's houses or something. And, LOL, maybe a dual membership!

We all need all the help we can get. I'm not the only member here.

Well you certainly have better eyes than I do if you can read that last line! I'm old! I think that's his/her BIOS version, which doesn't help much. He/She doesn't list his/her rig on his/her specs. Nunchez is not logged in yet.

In the mean time, do you think he damaged the partition and associated files like I stated?

LOL! I wish I new what sex members are! I know some, but not all.

Thanks for replying. Yeah I was doing some research and here's what I tried but it didn't work.

I reinstalled the cmos battery to reset the BIOS and that didn't work so I removed the hard drive and then I was able to get into BIOS. That's all I could do so far so after that I'm stuck.

And yeah what eXcite said is right about that line. So is there anything I can do now?

Yes, I'm pretty sure you were right when you stated he damaged some crucial boot files. The puzzling thing is, the tool he stated he used - MiniTool Partition Wizard - has worked perfectly for me every time I've used it. I converted my dynamic disk to basic without a problem, on my bro's computer the built in Disk Manager wouldn't let him shrink his drive past 209MB so I used MiniTool which worked perfectly, and lastly on my computer, Disk Manager wouldn't let me format a new partition because I already had the max. number I could have. I used MiniTool and it let me do it fine. I went on to use that partition for another OS, which works seamlessly as well.

So, after going through all of that in my mind, it occured to me that maybe he hadn't defragged his drive in some time to move those files to the front of the drive before shrinking the partition. That is the main cause of the built-in Disk Manager not letting you resize the partition. The only other thing I can think of is it may be something to do with his hardware, but seeing as he hasn't updated his system specs I can't really go off on that tangent.

I do find it frustrating that he hasn't logged in yet, but I just checked his profile and he's online now.
EDIT: Thanks for logging in Nunchez. Would you please update your system specs? Click here, or go to Quick Links -> Edit your system specs. It would help us fix your problem.
