Error when selecting 'Where do you want to install Windows?'

Attempting to do clean install. When I get to screen in title, Drive 1 shown as Unallocated Space. Select the drive and click next. Get error message ""We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup log files." Click new and install a partition on Drive 1. Click next. Get same error message. Attempted to install under same conditions on Drive 2 and Drive 3. Same error message on them. Suggestions? Thanks.

If your disk controller is running in AHCI mode try changing it to IDE mode.

Was there an answer to this. I am having EXACTLY the same problem. Bios set to IDE
Where is the log file ??? I cant find it.
